1. Bryson DeChambeau Breaks Silence

Bryson DeChambeau has spoken publicly about LIV Golf's bankruptcy, expressing optimism about the future of LIV Golf 2.0. Appearing on the Figuring Out podcast, DeChambeau criticized the original league's financial management, revealing that his team generated approximately $29 million in revenue and $8 million in EBITDA last year despite the league's struggles. He explained that the new model will give teams greater control over governance rather than relying on massive upfront player payments. DeChambeau emphasized that the revamped league is not looking to compete against the PGA Tour but instead add value to professional golf worldwide, expressing hope that LIV Golf 2.0 will be financially sustainable and exist for years to come.

2. Sergio Garcia Among Latest Departures

More high-profile players are departing LIV Golf, with major champions Sergio Garcia and Graeme McDowell officially announcing their exits. Garcia, a 38-time professional winner, confirmed on Instagram that he plans to return to a full DP World Tour schedule, while 47-year-old McDowell, an 11-time DP World Tour winner, expressed excitement about the next chapter of his career. Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson is also reportedly expected to leave the league, although he has yet to make an official announcement. The departures add to the growing list of established players moving on from LIV Golf as uncertainty continues surrounding the league's future.

3. LIV Golf Adelaide's Future Depends on Retaining Top Players

South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas has warned that LIV Golf Adelaide will only move forward if the league can maintain its star-studded roster and deliver an event of the same quality as previous years. Speaking on SEN Radio, Malinauskas acknowledged that LIV officials remain committed to staging the tournament but emphasized that the government is closely monitoring player departures. He specifically highlighted the importance of retaining stars such as Cameron Smith and Bryson DeChambeau. Malinauskas made clear that South Australia would not proceed with the tournament unless LIV could maintain its previous standards.

Golf tip 🏌🏻‍♂️

By closing your stance (feet and body aimed right of the target) for a draw, you naturally encourage an in-to-out path that starts the ball right and curves it left. Opening your stance (aimed left) for a fade does the opposite, promoting an out-to-in path that starts left and curves right.
