The Champions 🏆
It was a quiet week in the world of golf, with just two tournaments on tap, including the ISPS Handa Australian Open on the DPWT and the International Series Qatar on the Asian Tour.
On the DPWT, 24-year old American Ryggs Johnston took home his first pro win, with the victory in Australia. Click here to see his winning moment.
On the Asian Tour, LIV Golf’s Peter Uihlein collected his 2nd Asian Tour win, with a victory in Qatar. Click here to see his winning moment.
Tony Finau WD’s from Hero…
Speculation has started to swirl. Tony Finau, who has been the subject of LIV rumors for a couple of years now is a late withdraw from the Hero World Challenge, prompting many to wonder if Finau could be on the move to LIV. The World #26 has previously been linked to the league and the subject of a lot of rumors within LIV circles. The timing of his withdraw from the Hero is interesting. In recent weeks, there have been reports that LIV could be circling back to a couple of bigger players who previously turned down large contract offers. Finau is also dealing with some personal business matters pertaining to a legal dispute involving members of his family. That lawsuit was recently pushed back to 2025. It remains to be seen if any of this means anything and as of right now we should caution that it’s all speculation.
🚨🤔👀 #SPECULATION — Tony Finau has been replaced in the Hero World Challenge field by Sepp Straka, who has been named a tournament exemption. Justin Thomas who was just announced by TW as an exemption takes a regular spot in the field. The timing is interesting as some in LIV… x.com/i/web/status/1…

DPWT Negotiating with PIF 🤝
The DP World TOUR has reportedly entered negotiations of its own with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Bloomberg reported that the development comes as the PIF continues its negotiations with the PGA TOUR. If everything works out, the report details that there could be multiple deals that would see the PIF gain more control over the sport globally. A proposed deal could pave the way for more cohesiveness between the DPWT and the LIV Golf schedules.
🚨💰⛳️ #NEW: Bloomberg @business reports that the Saudi PlF have entered negotiations with the DP World Tour. The investment would come in addition to the ongoing talks with the PGA TOUR as the Saudis look to make a major splash across the golfing world with multiple deals

Is Bryson Golf’s Content King? 👑
Bryson DeChambeau continued his social media run this week. The U.S. Open Champion and LIV Golf star dropped not one, but two viral videos this week. First, he uploaded a new episode of ‘Break 50’ alongside none other than Tom Brady on his YouTube channel. A few minutes later, Bryson lit up the golf world right before Thanksgiving with the moment many had been waiting for… a hole-in-one over his house.
