TGL Teeing Off Without Tiger & Rory
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, I’m sure you’ve heard the TGL Golf league is teeing off in early anuary. The debut of the simulator league is a long time coming after last year’s launch was put on hold for a year when their dome structure collapsed in Palm Beach gardens. Since then, TGL built a $50M structure that can withstand Hurricanes and further developed their virtual technology.
The 15 match regular season schedule has been released and you might be surprised to learn that the founders of the league, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, along with their teams won’t appear during the opening night on January 7th. Tiger’s team, ‘Jupiter Links’ is slated to compete against LAGC on January 14th, while Rory’s ‘Common Golf’ won’t feature until January 27th, when they take on Jupiter Links.

Ryder Cup Volunteers Pay?
Last week, we told you about the Ryder Cup’s inflated ticket prices, with general admission coming in around $750 USD. Now, we’ve learned the pricing that volunteers will need to pay in order to work the tournament. At $350, that price comes in higher than any of the major championships. Is this a fair move or more greed from the PGA of America?
🚨🙋🏻♂️💰 #UPDATE — The PGA of America is charging volunteers $350 USD to work at the 2025 Ryder Cup, per @GOLF_com. That price is higher than at any other major championship and includes:
☑️ Volunteer uniform
☑️ Drawstring bag
☑️ Commemorative pin
☑️ Food (during shifts only)

Female Golfers Voice Displeasure
According to a report from Outkick, the Independent Women’s Forum recently shared with them a letter that was signed by 275 female golfers who were competing in LPGA Q-School pre-qualifying back in August. The letter, which was addressed to the LPGA TOUR, took issue with the LPGA for allowing transgender golfer Hayley Davidson to participate in the competition, saying the spot takes away from a biological female.
🚨It has been revealed that 275 female golfers who were about to compete in LPGA Q-School pre-qualifying back in August wrote a letter addressed to the LPGA, USGA and the International Golf Federation (IGF) with concerns that transgender golfer Hayley Davidson’s participation… x.com/i/web/status/1…

“We all know there can be no equal athletic opportunity for women without a separate female golf category. Yet, the Ladies Professional Golf Association continues to propagate a policy that allows male athletes to qualify, compete and win in women’s golf, even as several national and international governing bodies of sport and state legislatures increasingly reject these unjust and inequitable policies that harm female athletes.”
Scratch Golfer Stats
