The Season of Scheffler Continues
After making his first start since winning the TOUR Championship back in August, World #1 Scottie Scheffler picked up right where he left off this week down in the Bahamas. Scheffler cruised to an easy 6 shot win at the Hero World Challenge, even unveiling a new putting grip - the claw. Scheffler shot -9, 63 on Sunday - finishing the week at -25. The win marks his 9th worldwide victory on the season, with wins coming at the API, PLAYERS, Masters, RBC Heritage, Memorial, Travelers, Olympics (gold), TOUR Champ and now, the Hero. On top of that, Scheffler and his wife welcomed their first child and he also had the entire ordeal that sent him to jail at the PGA Championship. What a season it has been for Scottie Scheffler!

Tiger Woods Speaks
At the Hero World Challenge, Tiger Woods resurfaced for the first time since undergoing back surgery in September. Woods faced the media on Tuesday morning and took questions regarding his health. He cited both his body and game as reasons for not teeing it up at the Hero and said he has “a long way to go” before he can compete against the world’s best, adding that he wants to give himself the best chance to be competitive at the events he will play next season. He also spoke about the prospects of U.S. players receiving financial compensation at the Ryder Cup and lended his support to the idea - suggesting that players should donate their earnings to charity. During Sunday’s final round, Woods joined Dan Hicks in the booth to discuss his foundation and was also pressed about whether he would play in the upcoming PNC Championship - to which Woods responded: “we’ll see.”

Coming soon - Reebok Golf?
Ahead of their December 17th match at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka posed for a Golf Digest cover shoot. Fans with a close eye spotted that Bryson’s polo featured a Reebok logo - a sign that the brand may soon be sponsoring DeChambeau or his Crushers team. Asked about the photo, a Reebok spokesperson told Sports Business Journal’s Josh Carpenter that there are “exciting developments in the works.”
